A Toast to Success — Original Acrylic Painting by Jasmina Mendoza

A Toast to Success is an original expressive still life painting by Jasmina Mendoza, created in December 2023 on a 16 x 20 inch (approximately 40 x 50 cm) canvas board.

A bottle of red wine, a half-filled glass, glowing candles and small red fruits come together in a scene of celebration. Behind them, warm golden light meets deep shadows, creating the feeling of a special evening when the world slows down and a moment deserves to be remembered.

I painted this piece with acrylic colours using a painting knife, building up layers of colour and texture rather than chasing perfect lines. The visible knife marks give the wine bottle, candlelight and table their own character, making the atmosphere feel warm and lived in.

For me, success is not always something grand. Sometimes it is a milestone, a difficult journey completed, or simply having someone beside you to share the moment.

A Toast to Success celebrates gratitude, perseverance and life's meaningful victories, both big and small. An original artwork for spaces where stories are shared.
