The Fox’s Memories – Contemporary Mixed Media Painting by Jasmina Mendoza
The Fox’s Memories is an original 30 x 30 cm contemporary mixed media painting on canvas board by Jasmina Mendoza, created with collage, acrylic colours, and acrylic texture paste.
This emotional artwork explores memory, instinct, nature, and the quiet traces that remain with us long after a moment has passed. The fox appears surrounded by layered flowers, fragments of old handwritten letters, textured surfaces, and subtle metallic details, as if moving through a place shaped by memory rather than reality.
For me, the fox represents intelligence, intuition, adaptability, and the ability to find a path through uncertainty. Its calm presence suggests a silent observer carrying stories that cannot always be explained, only felt. The vintage letter fragments evoke forgotten conversations and pieces of the past, while the flowers bring softness, renewal, and life around them.
The painting combines contemporary mixed media, symbolic animal art, botanical collage, expressive abstraction, and vintage-inspired texture. Acrylic paste creates a tactile surface, while the layered collage and painted details give the piece depth, movement, and a dreamlike atmosphere.
This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, signed by Jasmina Mendoza and varnished for protection and enhanced colour depth.
