The Girl with Flowers – Original Expressive Figurative Painting

The Girl with Flowers is an original expressive figurative painting created in 2022 by Jasmina Mendoza. Painted in acrylic on 300 gsm textured paper, this artwork celebrates feminine beauty, quiet confidence, and the poetry of a private moment.

A dark-haired woman sits with her back turned, her gaze drifting beyond the viewer. Delicate flowers bloom through her flowing hair, bringing flashes of pink, white, and yellow to the composition. Warm golden tones illuminate her figure against a softly weathered rose-coloured background, while deep charcoal shadows create contrast and depth.

Working with expressive brushstrokes and richly layered textures, Mendoza allows the surface to remain imperfect and alive. The contrast between delicate floral details and rugged abstract marks gives the painting its distinctive character.

Every textured passage reveals a different rhythm, encouraging a closer look at the artwork.

Rather than seeking photographic realism, The Girl with Flowers invites viewers to appreciate emotion, individuality, and the beauty of the human form. This one-of-a-kind original artwork brings a contemplative, romantic atmosphere to an art collection or thoughtfully curated interior.
